Before you get wrapped up and all cozy here, I want to mention to those of you who may not know, that most of the main characters of SOS's stories are based on true-to life people who actually lived during the 1800's.
For instance, Fujita Goro/ Saitou Hajime is a genuine, historical person who dedicated his life for the ideals he believed in during a time when it was difficult to live comfortably in Japan. During that time the country was in turmoil and unrest, and out from all the dust and grime shown men and women who made quite a mark in history. They left behind a bounty of wisdom for us all to draw from today.
The primary objective for this website, various stories, and art, is to draw attention to the fact that, although most everything here is fiction most of the content are based on historical charters and events. If there should be just one of you who will, through our efforts, be motivated to study their lives and get to know one historical person, then our purpose for this site's existence would be fulfilled.
At SOS, fiction is so much fun, but history is where it all began. For great reads about Saitou Hajime's true to life history, please visit, ShinsengumiHQ (under construction at the moment). Also Flying Crane is another great site to indulge yourself in Bakumatsu history.

Well, this is just one of those off Sundays that no updates to the stories happens. I'm sure people are catching up with reading the other parts of the site anyway, so it isn't like the end of the world.
I'm not so sure I'll have an update for next week either. Reason being is that I'm really pushing the publication of Gojou Hajime through. I want that done and out of the way. It seems like this time of the year, for me, is my busiest, due to travel, events and catching up to do as well. I don't have as much time to put out as I really wish I had. My life goes off in many directions, so something is bound to have to give when all of the demands become urgent. For me, the urgency is seasonal---between June and September. After that, I should be back rolling with more writing and art to brighten the day for the Samurai On Samurai lovers.
In the mean time, I'd love to hear from you. Drop me a line, shout out a simple 'hello' and I'll shout back. I'm far from being a snooty stuck-up. It is not in my nature to be that way. I'm one of the milder, more humble spirits that walk the planet. I write and draw humbly and shout no claims of being GREAT, or even good enough to deserve praises from you who visit. I simply do what I do and share it with you if you care to indulge in a little bit of fiction.
