"When the Shinsengumi fought and died that person, the person who dies, leaves a name as a hero, and then that name is handed down. However, I regret not passing as Jiro Yamaguchi/Saitou Hajime, but escaped death and continued to live. God damn it! I, Fujita Goro was impaired, handicapped with another life, which I painfully lived." (Fujita Goro)

The online fan fiction, Gojou, as well as the Shinsengumi Fiction Gojou Hajime, are dedicated to the man, Fujita Goro who was born into this world in 1844 as Yamaguchi Hajime.  He served in the Roshigumi and Shinsengumi as Saitou Hajime and changed his name to Yamaguchi Jiro. Still later, he used the name Ichinose Denpanchi.   He worked at the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department (TMPD), Education Museum and Tokyo (Higher) Women's Normal School and died in 1915 with the name, Fujita Goro.
